Michaella Mutoni-Dorvlo

Meet Michaella Mutoni-Dorvlo, a Third Culture Kid born in Burundi to Rwandan parents, who has lived in seven countries across Africa, Europe, and North America. That upbringing gave her a rare ability to bridge cultures and build understanding across boundaries.

Now based in Canada and raising two cross-cultural children of her own, Michaella is the author of The Wondrous Journeys of Isaro and Juru, a multicultural children's picture book series that follows two siblings as they explore their Rwandan and Ghanaian heritage.

Written for children ages 3 to 10 and published with Imagine We Rwanda, the books, Auntie Zuba's Magical Wedding, set in Rwanda, and Isaro and Juru's Big Trip to Accra, set in Ghana, celebrate belonging, identity, and the joy of growing up between worlds.

Her mission is simple: to help children embrace their own heritage while discovering the beauty of other cultures.

Get ready to discover new worlds and learn wonderful things as we journey together through the magic of stories!
